About

The Aeolian Trio, consisting of Pavel Timofeyevsky (piano), Matthew Wilsher (clarinet), and Urška Horvat (cello), is a London-based piano trio. Their journey began when they crossed paths performing a chamber arrangement of Giacomo Puccini's opera Tosca. United by their love for chamber music, they founded the trio, eager to explore the rich repertoire written for this combination of instruments, as well as continue to explore new works and reductions. The trio comprises highly acclaimed and experienced soloists, chamber, and orchestral musicians, each bringing their unique talent and expertise to the ensemble.

Born in Ljubljana (Slovenia), Urška Horvat is a versatile award-winning solo, chamber, and orchestral musician. Her passion for music and more specifically chamber music has brought her to visit many countries around the world and perform in many distinguished venues such as Wigmore Hall, St. Martin in the Fields, Cadogan Hall, King's Place, St. John's Smith Square, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Flagey in Brussels, The Slovenian Philharmonic Hall in Ljubljana, among others.

Urška won several national and international prizes in the UK, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia and as a soloist performed with several orchestras. One of the most noticeable performances took place in Cadogan Hall (London) where she debuted with Dvořák's Cello Concerto, after winning Trinity Laban Soloists' Competition 2016. One of her performances has recently been also broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
